Q: How did you get started in the real estate business and what motivated you to join the industry?
A: My husband and I met in real estate. We both came from completely different backgrounds. Chuck grew up in New York. He ran night clubs and worked as a mailman during the day. He moved to Arizona for a fresh start. Real Estate was definitely not a logical next career choice as Chuck had never even owned a house.
All Chuck knew was he wanted to be in an industry where he could make a lot of money and be his own boss. I was a school teacher. I decided to get into Real Estate to make more money too. I had absolutely no experience either and, to tell you the truth, I really believe the God orchestrated it all so that I could meet Chuck. There was no logical reason for me either to choose Real Estate as a career.
Q: What drew you to the Arizona area?
A: Chuck was drawn to this area because some of his family had already moved here. I was drawn to Arizona solely because of the weather. I wanted to live somewhere warm. So, I moved here halfway through my college years.
Q: What are some of your ambitions or goals to achieve in the real estate industry?
A: So far, thanks to the Lord, Chuck and I have achieved every goal we’ve set in real estate. When we were agents we were the top producers many years in a row for the company we were with and we have achieved the goal of running the top Real Estate Brokerage in the East Valley in terms of production. We have been at the top for several years.
Our next goals include: Doubling our agents’ production without adding to our overall agent count. We also would like to create seminars for Realtors. Chuck and I love to speak and we feel that we have a lot of useful information to motivate and help Realtors be successful.
Q: Are there any real estate myths you feel should be debunked and passed along to your community?
A: Where to start . . . I’m afraid that the vast majority of Realtors believe that they can make a lot of money in Real Estate without actually talking to people. What I mean is, prospecting is a bad word to many Realtors when prospecting should become as natural as breathing. I used the word “become” for a reason. Nobody is born an expert prospector.
It’s a skill to be developed and most Realtors would rather spend their time looking for a magic pill.
Q: When you’re not navigating the world of real estate, what do you enjoy doing in your downtime?
A: My husband and I are best friends so in our down time we have dates and spend time together. My husband coaches our youngest son’s soccer team. That’s super fun! All of Chuck’s immediate family lives here. A lot of our family attend church together on Sundays and then we go out to dinner. That is a highlight in our week. Please let me know if you need more information. I’m happy to help.
